Library
Libraries play an integral part in the lives of both students and teachers as it caters to their academic requirements. All the institutions falling under the umbrella of JIS Group are well equipped with modern facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the form of online databases, micro-documents, books, journals, reports, etc. It has also developed a full-fledged Digital Library equipped with the necessary modern equipment to provide various digital mode Library services. Apart from that, all the institutes have a well-stocked library consisting of thousands of national and international journals, publications, and books of varied interests and fields. JIS Group of Institutions facilitates the students with massive and comprehensive library support comprising over 3.26 lakh books. We, at JIS Group, have always tried to make sure that the students get all the information they need to grow academically. The well-stocked, commodious libraries have a wealth of information on a plethora of subjects.
Language Lab
Good communication skills are indispensable for the success of any professional. If one wants to reach out to people, he or she has to speak their language. The English language, in particular, has become essential in the lives of young people who aspire to advance their careers anywhere in the world.
Some of the institutions under JIS Group have Personality, Attitude, Communication and Knowledge (PACK) enabled Language Labs designed by IIT CACM (Kharagpur). These fully interactive, open environment labs induce the VAK (Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic) style of learning and a multi-sensory learning experience. Our Language Labs are fully computerized state-of-the-art labs, with computers on LAN connectivity running a CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) system on ORELL-PRO software (licensed version), provided by Orell TechnoSystems India Pvt Ltd. Students can easily access English language learning activities online and get the teacher’s feedback as well. Additionally, there are facilities for in-house video viewing and voice recording and analysis in the lab.
Some institutions under JIS Group also have Language Labs which is a fully computerized state-of-the-art lab; with computers on LAN running the I-TELL software (Licensed version) of Orell TechnoSystems India Pvt Ltd. Students have facilities for attending classes online, and participating in video-recorded Group Discussions, with televised teacher feedback. There is also an audio archive of English Pronunciation audio recordings which the students can freely access. The learning occurs in a structured way, in a real context and visually attractive way that engages the student in the language learning environment and promotes language use. The young learners in the process acquire skills to merge into a dynamic society where knowledge, culture, technology and attitude are changing at an alarming speed.
Auditoriums
To ensure the all-round development of students, the JIS Group of Institutions have highly spacious auditoriums which can accommodate over 500 students. Regular presentations, seminars, conferences and debates are held in these ac auditoriums with state-of-the-art sound system and acoustic.
Canteen
The students must choose to eat healthily. Students will only be able to excel in academics when they are eating well and are physically healthy. The canteens at the JIS Group of Institutions are well-equipped with proper space, logistics and infrastructure to serve hygienic lunch and snacks to the entire campus population at a subsidized price.
Smart Classrooms
When it comes to smart classes, the institutions under JIS Group facilitate state-of-the-art modern smart classes intending to impart world-class education to the students. Our smart classes use a variety of technological tools such as computers or laptops connected to Wi-Fi, LEDs, e-textbooks, projectors, etc. We try our best to make the whole process of learning more engaging for our students with the help of audiovisual tools. Teachers can access the requisite information easily and explain it to students immediately. And students are given virtual lectures from experts from around the world. Teachers and students can even interact with each other after class hours through technology for effective learning.
